Traffic Diversion on La Cagna Bridge
As part of the extension works of the southern portal of the capital - phase 2 -, the Ministry of Equipment and Housing announces a partial diversion of traffic on La Cagna Bridge, starting from Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Affected Traffic
According to the ministry, this measure primarily concerns motorists coming from the burns hospital and heading towards the city center, the airport, or Bizerte. These users must stay on the right lane and take the newly arranged road for this purpose. Traffic to El Wardia and Bab Alioua via La Cagna Bridge remains unchanged.
Precautions and Regulations
The ministry calls on all drivers to exercise caution and respect road signs. It also reminds heavy truck drivers of the ban on circulating in the capital during morning and evening rush hours, in accordance with the rules in force.
Purpose of the Diversion
This diversion aims to facilitate the continuation of the works while limiting disruptions for motorists. Clear panels and indications will be put in place to guide traffic.
