Tunisie Profilés Aluminium (TPR) Releases Q2 2026 Activity Indicators
Tunisie Profilés Aluminium (TPR) has published its activity indicators for the second quarter of 2026. The individual and consolidated figures reflect a particularly deteriorated economic and geopolitical environment, impacting all of the group's main aggregates.
Individual Performance
The second-quarter 2026 revenue stood at 48,219 MDT, down 24% compared to the same period last year. For the semester, the decline is 12%, with a total of 96,807 MDT. This downward trend affected both the local market, which decreased by 13% over the first six months (59,934 MDT), and exports, which fell by 11% (36,873 MDT). This trend is even more pronounced in the second quarter, where local sales plummeted by 30% (29,285 MDT) and foreign sales by 13% (18,933 MDT).
Production and Challenges
The production value follows the same trajectory, with a 27% decline over the semester, to 82,870 MDT, a direct consequence of the difficulties in supplying raw materials due to geopolitical disruptions in the Gulf region and difficulties in supplying aluminum billets, partly due to damage suffered by two strategic suppliers.
Consolidated Performance
On a consolidated basis, the TPR group reports a semester revenue of 152,335 MDT, down 11% compared to 2025. The second quarter, with 79,541 MDT, shows a decline of 16%. Again, the local market is the most affected, with a 13% decrease over the semester, while exports have fallen by 10%. However, the group emphasizes that this underperformance in exports is more related to production constraints than a weakening of demand.
Financials and Outlook
The total debt has decreased by 42%, standing at 53,477 MDT, thanks to a significant reduction in short-term financing, a direct consequence of the decrease in raw material purchases. Meanwhile, investments in treasury bills and government bonds have fallen by 15%, to 63,250 MDT.
Despite this challenging context, TPR shows resilience. The group has highlighted the maintenance of its export market share and an increasing order book.
As soon as the supply constraints are lifted, there will be a return to normal. The first half of 2026 thus appears as a period of temporary turbulence, but the company intends to capitalize on its adaptability and solid fundamentals to bounce back in the coming months.
