Tunisia Ranks 71st in Global AI Index 2024
Tunisia has been ranked 71st globally in the Global AI Index for 2024, published by Tortoise Intelligence.
The Global AI Index is a comprehensive evaluation of artificial intelligence capabilities in 83 countries, assessing performance based on 122 indicators grouped into three pillars: implementation, innovation, and investment. These pillars are further divided into seven sub-pillars: talent, infrastructure, operational environment, research, development, government strategy, and commercial ecosystem.
At the Maghreb level, Tunisia takes the lead, followed by Morocco (79th) and Algeria (80th). These two countries are among the last five in the ranking. Libya and Mauritania are not included in this index.
On a global scale, the United States dominates in terms of artificial intelligence capability, followed by China, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and France.
