Global Gender Gap Report 2024 Insights
The World Economic Forum's "Global Gender Gap Report 2024 Insights" reveals that Sierra Leone is among the countries that have made significant progress in reducing gender inequalities, with a remarkable improvement in just one year. The report highlights that five countries have made substantial progress, jumping more than 20 places in the ranking: Ecuador (+34 places, 16th), Sierra Leone (+32 places, 80th), Guatemala (+24 places, 93rd), Cyprus (+22 places, 84th), and Romania and Greece (+20 places, 68th and 73rd).
On the other hand, the report notes significant declines in the ranking: Bangladesh (-40 places, 99th), Laos (-35 places, 89th), El Salvador (-28 places, 96th), Rwanda (-27 places, 39th), and Bhutan (-21 places, 124th).
