Tunisian National Tennis Team Dominates African Championship
The Tunisian national tennis team for under-14 players has triumphed at the African Championship, held in Nairobi, Kenya, from February 24 to March 1, 2025, solidifying Tunisia's position as a powerhouse in African women's tennis.
Selima Ben Dhia emerged victorious, claiming the title of African Champion after dominating the final against her compatriot Saba Sahbani, who took home the silver medal. This all-Tunisian final highlights the excellent performance of the young talents on the team, according to the Tunisian Tennis Federation.
The duo of Ben Dhia and Sahbani also impressed, taking first place after defeating another Tunisian pair, composed of Malek Kamôun and Emna Mathlouthi. These exceptional results enabled Tunisia to win the overall championship trophy, ahead of Morocco in second place and Egypt in third.
These outstanding achievements demonstrate the Tunisian team's remarkable skills and dedication, further establishing the country's reputation as a force to be reckoned with in African tennis.
