Good news for transportation professionals. No more unnecessary trips and long waiting lines. Owners of vehicles dedicated to transporting people, such as taxis, buses, rental cars, or tourist vehicles, as well as holders of goods transport trucks with a payload exceeding 5 tons, can now pay the single road transport compensation tax online. The information was announced on Tuesday by the General Directorate of Public Accounting and Recovery. In concrete terms, the payment is made electronically, using bank or postal cards, via the official platform of the Ministry of Finance: taxe-circulation.finances.gov.tn. A single click is now all it takes, whereas in the past, patience and paperwork were required.
