Tunisia Africa Business Meetings (TABM) Return for a Promising 3rd Edition

After the success of the previous two editions in 2020 and 2022, the Tunisia Africa Business Meetings (TABM) are back for a promising 3rd edition. This year, the guest of honor is Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, Cameroonian Minister of Trade. Organized by CEPEX under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, these biennial meetings bring together economic actors from across the African continent. The event aims to strengthen and dynamize exchanges between African countries.

Over 200 Tunisian exporting companies had the opportunity to meet with more than 120 economic actors from 25 countries, including Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Benin, Nigeria, Kenya, Mauritania, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Congo, Ghana, Zambia, Uganda, Togo, the Central African Republic, Cape Verde, Angola, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Djibouti, Gambia, Niger, and South Africa.

On July 2 and 3, participants will benefit from a rich program including B2B matchmaking sessions, a plenary session, a high-level panel on strategies to bridge the food security gap, as well as thematic workshops and company visits.

Mourad Ben Hassine, CEO of CEPEX, highlighted the objective of this event: "To be a key partner in the economic development of the African continent by intensifying commercial exchanges and strengthening partnerships. We aspire to increase our share of inter-African trade and make Tunisia an indispensable partner in the economic development of the continent." He added: "I am convinced that these TABM meetings will be the starting point for many fruitful and win-win collaborations. Together, we can build a future where our economies are more integrated and our populations benefit from sustainable growth and development."

CEPEX is not limited to this event. Other actions are also being carried out, such as the "PEMA II" project, initiated under the mandate of the German Federal Ministry BMZ, in collaboration with the Tunisian Ministry of Trade and CEPEX.

On the sidelines of the event, CEPEX organized several events, including the Export Morning on July 3, followed by a panel discussion on the development of inter-African trade from the perspective of women entrepreneurs.

In conclusion, the third edition of the TABM affirms itself as a flagship event for strengthening economic exchanges in Africa, offering opportunities for networking and beneficial partnerships for Tunisian and African businesses.
