Tunisia Plays Central Role in Tunisian-African Business Meetings and Hosts Fourth Meeting of Arab-African Commercial Bridges Governors Council

Tunisia is taking center stage in the Tunisian-African Business Meetings and is also hosting the fourth meeting of the Governors Council of the Arab-African Commercial Bridges program. This event symbolizes Tunisia's strong commitment to economic and commercial cooperation with its Arab and African partners. The Minister of Trade, Kalthoum Ben Rejeb, expressed her gratitude to the program's Secretariat and institutional partners for their valuable support.

The Arab-African Commercial Bridges program has made significant progress, highlighting the continued commitment of its managers to promote major economic events. Despite global challenges, the Minister noted a positive trend, highlighting the increase in intra-African trade, which reached $192.2 billion in 2023, representing 14.9% of global trade between African countries. Trade exchanges between Tunisia and sub-Saharan African countries totaled $650 million, with Tunisian exports exceeding $490 million, mainly in the electrical, mechanical, and agri-food sectors.
