Central Banks of Tunisia and Comoros Sign Institutional Cooperation Agreement
The Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) and the Central Bank of Comoros (BCC) have officially signed an institutional cooperation agreement today at the BCT headquarters in Tunis.
The agreement was signed by the governors of the two institutions: Fethi Zouhair Nouri for the BCT and Younoussa Imani for the BCC. The agreement covers 7 key areas:
- Monetary policy
- Financial stability
- Banking supervision
- Payment systems
- Financial inclusion
- Financial technologies
- Cybersecurity
It also provides for programs of expertise exchange, training, and technical assistance. From the Comorian side, Governor Imani highlighted the concrete benefits of this partnership in modernizing the financial infrastructure of Comoros and consolidating its monetary policy.
