Minister of Equipment and Housing Visits Construction Site of South Entrance of Tunis
The Minister of Equipment and Housing, Salah Zouari, conducted a site visit this week to the construction site of the first phase of the south entrance of Tunis project, located in the Saint-Gobain area of Jebel Jelloud. This visit is part of the close monitoring of a large-scale project, essential for improving traffic flow and strengthening access infrastructure to the capital.
On site, the minister held a working session with representatives of the group of companies responsible for the work, study offices, and the director general of bridges and roads. The opportunity allowed for a review of the progress of the site, examination of the stages already completed, and discussion of the next phases of execution. The difficulties encountered were also addressed, with a commitment to implement concrete solutions to avoid any delays.
The minister recalled the imperative of respecting the planned completion deadline of late 2026, while calling for an intensification of the pace of work. He also emphasized the need for rigorous technical monitoring to ensure the quality, safety, and durability of the works carried out under this structuring project for the city of Tunis.
