Westerwelle Foundation's STRIDE Program: A Gateway to African Markets for Tunisian Startups and SMEs
The STRIDE program, launched by the Westerwelle Foundation, is a comprehensive initiative designed to support Tunisian startups and SMEs in expanding their reach into African markets. Eight months ago, 60 companies embarked on this adventure, and today, five startups have successfully finalized their entry into the Senegalese and Rwandan markets.

The STRIDE acceleration program serves as a gateway to expansion for Tunisian startups and SMEs. It aims to empower 60 Tunisian startups to go global by providing a unique platform to navigate the complexities of international market expansion.
Second Phase: Supporting Expansion Plans
In its second phase, 15 of the initially selected 60 companies will receive support for setting up and developing their expansion plans.
Proven Track Record of Success
The program has proven its effectiveness by offering personalized support, including technical guidance, networking opportunities, and access to a network of experts and investors. Since April 2024, STRIDE has provided its expertise and resources to 308 entrepreneurs.
Success Stories: Cynoia and Fabskill
Cynoia, a collaborative management platform used by Tunisie Télécom, Ooredoo, and Orange Tunisie, has marked a significant milestone in its internationalization process by opening an office in Dakar, Senegal. Fabskill, an AI-powered recruitment platform, has reinforced its presence on the continent by establishing itself in Rwanda. STRIDE, a project of great importance, is made possible through the support of the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development's "Decent Work for a Just Transition – Invest for Jobs" program. It is implemented by the Digital Transformation Program of GIZ Tunisia in collaboration with the Westerwelle Foundation.
