Orange Tunisie Announces New General Manager
Orange Tunisie has announced the appointment of Stéphane Varret as its new General Manager, replacing Thierry Millet, who was recently appointed General Manager of Orange Money Group.
About Stéphane Varret
With over 20 years of experience within the Orange group, Stéphane Varret has held strategic positions in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, specializing in finance, development, and business transformation. Since March 2023, he has been the Director of Strategy and Development at Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA), covering 17 countries. In this role, he has:
- Led the implementation of the "Lead the Future" strategic plan at the regional level
- Managed large-scale projects in long-distance connectivity, infrastructure (towercos, satellites), and mobile financial services
- Conducted several external growth operations, including the Orange-Vodacom joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo
Education and Expertise
Stéphane Varret holds:
- A master's degree in economics from the University of Paris II Panthéon
- A master's degree in business management from ISC Paris
- A senior executive program in finance and management from ESCP Europe He combines solid academic training with recognized expertise in managing complex projects. Notably, he has been:
- Financial Director and then Deputy General Manager of Orange Côte d'Ivoire
- CFO of Orange Spain, where he played a key role in the company's return to growth and strategic merger with Masmovil
