StarkWare Launches $4 Million Venture Capital Fund to Support African Blockchain Solutions
StarkWare, the company behind the Ethereum Starknet solution, has launched a $4 million venture capital fund to support blockchain solutions in Africa. Led by Moroccan entrepreneur Kheireddine Kamal, the fund will focus on small teams in the pre-seed or seed stage, looking to deploy their projects on Starknet.
Startups in the early stages can receive grants of up to $150,000, while more advanced teams will be eligible for larger amounts. All beneficiaries will be considered for an investment of up to $500,000.
The fund will target African countries with populations interested in blockchain and economic conditions conducive to its adoption. Priority zones include West Africa, East Africa, and South Africa. This program will combine financing, mentorship, and technical expertise to help African creators develop their projects on a global scale.
