STAR Opens Applications for the “STAR Impact Hackathon”

The STAR has announced the opening of applications for the “STAR Impact Hackathon,” an initiative designed for startups, young entrepreneurs, and project holders seeking to develop innovative solutions to a critical social challenge: “Sport as a means to strengthen youth inclusion” across various regions of the country.

A 24-Hour Challenge in Tunis

Scheduled for October 3–4, 2026, in Tunis, the STAR Impact Hackathon will take the form of a 24-hour challenge. Participants will be invited to design concrete solutions to the posed problem, leveraging their skills and ideas within a limited timeframe.

An Initiative Open to All Idea Holders

The hackathon is open to both established companies and projects, as well as young talents with innovative ideas, concepts, or prototypes. The goal is to mobilize talents from diverse backgrounds around a strong conviction: sport can help reduce social and territorial disparities, bring opportunities closer to young people, and strengthen their inclusion in society.

The core objective is to explore how sport can contribute to narrowing gaps among youth, particularly in terms of:

  • Access to opportunities
  • Participation in community life
  • Personal fulfillment and development

The regional dimension also plays a significant role in this reflection. Sport is seen as a powerful tool to connect young people with opportunities, even in areas far from major urban centers.

Through this format, the STAR aims to bring together actors from the entrepreneurship and innovation sectors around a single, unified challenge. In this context, sport is viewed not only as an activity but also as a space for encounter, sharing, and emancipation, capable of fostering social bonds and contributing to greater equality of opportunity for young people.
