Star Assurances Launches "Road to the Star" Program to Promote Inclusion and Social Impact through Sports

Star Assurances, a leading insurance company, has announced the launch of its "Road to the Star" program, an initiative aimed at supporting five Tunisian athletes and promoting sports as a tool for social inclusion and impact. The program was presented at a press conference in Tunis and marks a significant evolution in the company's social commitment.

A New Approach to Sports Sponsorship

According to Laurent Thuillier, General Manager of Star Assurances, "We are not just launching a sports sponsorship program, but a program of inclusion through sports." The "Road to the Star" program is part of the company's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) approach, with the ambition of using sports to create opportunities, bring territories closer together, and promote equal chances.

Three Key Axes

The program is built around three main axes:

  1. Supporting Champions: Star Assurances will accompany Tunisian champions who can inspire a new generation. The company believes that sports success goes beyond winning medals and includes the transmission of values and experiences. "True champions do not just win medals, they transmit energy, values, and hope that can help an entire society grow," emphasized Laurent Thuillier.
  2. Promoting Sports among the General Public: The program aims to take high-level sports out of its usual framework and bring it to the general public. Star Assurances plans to organize events in different regions of Tunisia to encourage sports practice and create a direct link between the accompanied athletes and young people. The champions will also play a role in transmitting values such as self-confidence, commitment, and ambition.
  3. Supporting People with Disabilities: The third axis of the program focuses on supporting people whose lives have been affected by an accident and who need to rebuild their daily lives with a disability. For Star Assurances, this dimension represents the essence of the project: enabling these people to regain confidence, autonomy, and a future perspective. "Rebuilding a life means giving back confidence, allowing someone to find their place, autonomy, and above all, a future," affirmed Laurent Thuillier.

Values and Visual Identity

The company has also unveiled the visual identity of "Road to the Star," built around three values: resilience, courage, and excellence. These values reflect the insurance profession, according to Laurent Thuillier, which involves accompanying people in the face of uncertainty and contributing to their ability to bounce back. "Our job is to insure risks, but our ambition is now to insure possibilities," he summarized.

A Long-Term Commitment

The company has not yet revealed all the actions planned under the program, stating that "Road to the Star" is intended to evolve over the years. This first stage marks the beginning of a sustainable approach aimed at creating bridges between high-level sports, local sports, and social inclusion.
