SpaceX Announces Successful 10th Starship S37 Test Mission
SpaceX has announced the resounding success of its 10th test mission with the Starship S37 launcher, designed to transport humans and payloads to the Moon and Mars.
Launched from the Starbase facility in Texas, this flight marked a major milestone in the Starship program.
The Starship S37 achieved a near-perfect liftoff, followed by a successful separation of its Super Heavy booster. After a stable ascent, the spacecraft deployed eight Starlink simulator satellites into suborbital orbit for the first time, a crucial operation for future Starlink satellite deployment missions. The spacecraft also successfully reignited its engines in-flight, a key milestone after several failures in previous flights.
During re-entry, despite minor damage to one of its control wings, the Starship perfectly controlled its descent before successfully splashing down in the Indian Ocean, avoiding the systematic explosions that had affected previous Block 2 versions.
