Paper Production Sees Significant Increase in Q3 2024
Production Volumes Up 60% Year-Over-Year
Paper production has surged from 6,603 tonnes in Q3 2023 to 10,538 tonnes in Q3 2024, representing a 3,935-tonne increase (60%).
This production growth can be attributed to a 1,951-tonne increase in corrugated paper production and a 1,984-tonne increase in Kraft paper production.
Revenue Up 17% Year-Over-Year
Revenue for Q3 2024 has seen a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 23,288,237 TND, up from 19,901,812 TND in 2023. This growth is driven by a 20% increase in revenue from Kraft paper sales and a 15% increase in revenue from corrugated paper sales, primarily due to higher sales volumes.
Challenges in Raw Materials Market
The market for old papers is currently under tension, leading to a continuous increase in PPO prices. Furthermore, the situation remains challenging in the paper pulp market, where availability and costs remain high. This combination of tensions in both market segments is exerting increased pressure on prices and costs.
