Sotetel Publishes Q2 2024 Activity Indicators
The Tunisian Company of Telecommunications Enterprises (Sotetel) has released its activity indicators for the second quarter of 2024. The company's turnover reached 22.7 million Tunisian dinars, representing a 48.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This growth is mainly driven by local activities, which account for 98% of the quarterly turnover and show a 51.1% increase compared to the previous year. This significant progress is primarily attributed to the advancement of national high-speed internet deployment projects.
Operating Expenses
Total operating expenses reached 20 million Tunisian dinars in the second quarter of 2024, compared to 14.5 million Tunisian dinars in the same period in 2023, representing a 36.7% increase. The breakdown of these expenses is as follows:
- 14.2 million Tunisian dinars for purchases, including subcontracting
- 5 million Tunisian dinars for salaries
- 0.994 million Tunisian dinars for other expenses
EBITDA Performance
The EBITDA for this quarter stands at 3.2 million Tunisian dinars, compared to 1 million Tunisian dinars the previous year, representing a remarkable 182% increase. This outstanding performance is due to a significant increase in turnover and effective management of operating expenses.
