African Energy Summit: Tunisia and Tanzania Discuss Cooperation Opportunities
On the sidelines of the African Energy Summit Mission 300, Tunisia's Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Fatma Chiboub, met with her Tanzanian counterpart, Doto Biketo, to discuss cooperation opportunities between the two countries, particularly in the energy sector.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss ways to modernize the energy sector within the framework of financial commitments approved by the World Bank, the African Development Bank, and the French Development Agency for the period 2025-2030.
Notably, STEG International Service has signed contracts for 14 projects worth $160 million, some of which were completed in 2024, while others are ongoing in Africa this year.
STEG International Service has a portfolio of over 150 electrification projects in 24 sub-Saharan African countries and was awarded the Best Entrepreneur Prize in 2023 for completing the rural area lighting project.
