Appointment of New General Director
Sofiane Hammami has been appointed as the new General Director, succeeding Maher Zouari. Maher Zouari led the institution from December 2009 to March 2020, spanning over ten years, leaving a significant mark on the modernization of the Tunisian financial market infrastructure. The new General Director, Sofiane Hammami, boasts nearly thirty years of experience in the financial sector. After spending over fifteen years at the Council of the Financial Market (CMF) as head of the financial information department, he joined Axis Capital Bourse, where he served as Head of Research (2011-2016) and then General Manager (February to June 2016). He then took the helm of BIAT Asset Management, which he led from June 2016 to November 2020. Subsequently, he held the position of Head of Research and Development at Tunisie Valeurs - Groupe BIAT (2020-2023) and sat as a board member of Tunisie Valeurs Asset Management (2020-2022), before joining Tunisie Clearing in May 2023 as Deputy General Director. Holding a master's degree in economics from the University of Caen-Basse Normandie in France and the prestigious CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst) certification, Hammami combines academic expertise with field experience.
