Tunisian Students, Professors, and Researchers to Benefit from Free Access to Academic Resources
Starting from the next academic year, Tunisian students, professors, and researchers will have free access to a vast library of academic resources thanks to "ELM: E-learning Mentor", a cutting-edge artificial intelligence platform entirely designed and developed by Tunisian experts. This breakthrough represents a significant milestone for higher education and scientific research in the country.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research proudly announced the success of the initial tests of the ELM platform, highlighting its potential as a Tunisian autonomous AI system, placed under the direct supervision of educational authorities and teaching bodies, according to a ministry statement.
ELM will offer unlimited access to a multitude of publications, training programs, courses, and research papers across various fields of study, all at no cost. This ambitious project was discussed during a meeting at the ministry, led by Minister Moncef Boukthir and attended by key project stakeholders, Mohamed Nizar Yaiche and Karim Beguir.
Emphasis was placed on the creation of dedicated committees for supervision, management, dissemination, and communication around the platform. These committees will also be responsible for controlling and evaluating the scientific content before its release, ensuring the quality and relevance of the shared information.
Boukthir stressed the importance of quickly establishing a steering committee to oversee the effective implementation of the project.
