International Finance Corporation Announces $10 Million Investment in Senegalese HealthTech Startup Kera Health

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has announced a $10 million investment in Kera Health, a Senegalese startup specializing in health technologies.

Founded in 2023, Kera is developing a digital platform to improve access and coordination of care, particularly for vulnerable populations such as women and informal sector workers. The announcement was made on June 13 from Dakar.

The goal is to create a connected and accessible healthcare system, leveraging artificial intelligence and digital tools to link patients, hospitals, providers, and insurers.

At the helm of Kera are three experts: Moustapha Cissé (AI), Papa Sow (telecoms), and Hosam Mattar (public health), who aim to build a solution adapted to African realities.

This investment is part of the IFC's strategy to support high-impact African startups. Kera had already been highlighted as part of the New Deal technological program, a pan-African initiative to support innovation.
