SAPRI Returns After Nearly Two Decades: 10th Edition Set for November 2026
After an absence of nearly two decades, the International Fair for Spare Parts, Equipment, and Industrial Services (SAPRI) is set to return from November 17 to 20, 2026, at the Kram Exhibition Park. For this 10th edition, organizers anticipate the participation of approximately 250 exhibitors, 120 international experts and speakers, and around 15,000 visitors. The program features business meetings, technological demonstrations, and discussions on the new challenges facing the industrial sector.
Key Highlights: B2B Networking and International Participation
One of the primary focal points of this edition will be professional networking. Nearly 1,000 B2B meetings are scheduled between companies and experts. Participants are expected from France, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Congo, Mauritania, Cameroon, Algeria, and Libya. This presents a valuable opportunity for Tunisian companies to establish contacts, explore cooperation avenues, and showcase their expertise to foreign partners.
Organizers and Context
Organized by the Technical Center for Mechanical and Electrical Industries (CETIME) under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy, in partnership with the Tunis International Fair Company (SOFIT), SAPRI had not been held since 2007. Its return comes at a time when industrialists must navigate rapid changes, including the digitalization of processes, the pursuit of performance, and new environmental requirements.
Exhibition Scope: 7,000 m² Across Seven Thematic Villages
These challenges will be reflected across the various spaces of the fair, which will span approximately 7,000 m² and be organized into seven thematic villages. Key topics include:
- Industrial maintenance
- Metrology
- Industrial control
- Ecological transition
- Heavy industries (mining, oil, and cement sectors)
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover solutions related to Industry 4.0, production technologies, engineering, standardization, and non-destructive testing (NDT). Energy transition and digitalization will also be central themes. For companies, these technologies represent numerous avenues to modernize equipment, optimize operations, and better control costs.
Innovation and Competence: Awards and Makeathons
The program includes several events designed to highlight competence and innovation:
- Grand Prix de la Maintenance 2026: This award will recognize initiatives in industrial maintenance and metrology.
- MAKEATHON AFRICA by CETIME: This event will bring together startups and engineers to design innovative prototypes focused on predictive maintenance.
Predictive maintenance aims to anticipate failures before they disrupt production. By leveraging data and equipment monitoring, industrialists can better plan interventions and minimize unexpected downtime. The makeathon seeks to bridge the gap between technical skills and on-the-ground needs.
Conferences and Workshops
Another highlight is the 8th African Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (ACNDT’2026), which will gather specialists to discuss methods for inspecting materials and equipment without causing damage. The International Salon Meetings will address technological development, artificial intelligence, and ecological and energy transitions. Additionally, workshops and practical demonstrations will allow participants to familiarize themselves with recent industrial solutions.
Strategic Objectives and CETIME’s Role
Beyond technology showcases, organizers aim to encourage innovation and raise awareness of financial and technical support mechanisms available to companies. Key objectives include:
- Developing the export of Tunisian industrial services.
- Facilitating knowledge transfer.
- Encouraging young graduates to start businesses in this field.
This direction aligns with CETIME’s mission. Established in 1982 and located in Douar Hicher, the center supports companies—particularly in the mechanical, electrical, and electronic sectors—through its laboratories and technical assistance services. It also plays a role in energy transition, environmental sustainability, and decarbonization efforts.
Conclusion: From Meetings to Market Access
The return of SAPRI is designed to bring Tunisian companies closer to suppliers, experts, and international partners. While the four-day fair provides a framework for exchange, its long-term impact will depend largely on the follow-up to these meetings: new contracts, technical cooperations, or access to external markets.
