Novation City Signs Strategic Partnership with INCIT to Boost Africa's Industrial Digital Transformation

On April 2, 2025, the Sousse Development Pole (Novation City) signed a strategic partnership with the International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) at the Hanover Fair in Germany. This agreement aims to strengthen the digital transformation of African industry and position Tunisia as a key player in this field.

The signing took place on the sidelines of the Hanover Fair, the world's largest event dedicated to industrial technologies, under the auspices of the Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy. The event brought together representatives from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Tunisian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), as well as officials from Novation City, INCIT, and the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII).

This partnership will enable Novation City to play a central role in accompanying African companies towards Industry 4.0. Already recognized as the first African certified Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) center and the first in the world to deploy the Operational Excellence Readiness Index (OPEREI) program, the Tunisian pole will bring its expertise to evaluate and optimize the digital transformation of industrial companies.

It is worth noting that the agreement extends to several African countries, including Algeria, Morocco, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, and Senegal. It builds on the protocol signed during the 2024 edition of the Hanover Fair.

Based in Singapore, INCIT is a global reference in industrial digitalization, with methodologies adopted in over 90 countries, in collaboration with institutions such as the World Economic Forum, UNIDO, and GIZ.

Through this cooperation, Tunisia reinforces its position as a regional leader in smart industries and attracts more international investments. This partnership also confirms the country's commitment to promoting innovation and technological development as drivers of sustainable economic growth and regional competitiveness.
