Tunisian Startup Rybsen Installs First AquaClean Machine in Africa, Marking Key Milestone in Industrial Water Recycling

The Tunisian startup Rybsen, specialized in industrial water recycling, has taken a significant step forward with the installation of its first AquaClean machine in Africa. The equipment has been deployed at the Imprimerie Nouvelle MICI EMBACI, the largest printing company in Côte d'Ivoire, marking the beginning of its expansion on the continent.

The Centre for Export Promotion (CEPEX) actively supported this project, ensuring media visibility for AquaClean and facilitating connections with local economic actors and the Tunisian embassy in Côte d'Ivoire. CEPEX also covered several expenses, including flight tickets, prospecting, and accommodation.

Rybsen's objective is now to attract more companies in Côte d'Ivoire and establish a local office, which would significantly facilitate the company's development. The startup aims to showcase its international potential, particularly through the export of its technologies.

It is worth noting that AquaClean is a patented technology that enables the recycling and valorization of industrial wastewater. It was designed to address the growing need for sustainable water resource management in environmentally impactful sectors such as printing, agri-food, and textiles, particularly in Africa.

Rybsen plans to expand its activity in sub-Saharan Africa, targeting new industrial sectors. The company is counting on its partnership with CEPEX to strengthen its presence on the continent and support African companies in their ecological transition.

With this first installation in Côte d'Ivoire, the Tunisian startup positions itself as a key player in environmental innovation. Further installations are planned in West Africa in the coming months, consolidating its pioneering role in industrial water recycling.
