Royal Air Maroc Reaches Milestone with 70th Aircraft

Rabat, September 29, 2026 – Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has officially crossed a significant threshold, bringing its fleet to 70 aircraft with the integration of a new plane registered as CN-RHS, the airline announced on Tuesday.

A New Boeing 737 MAX 8 Joins the Fleet

The newly added aircraft is a Boeing 737 MAX 8, intended to bolster the carrier’s operational capacity across its network. This arrival follows closely on the heels of another 737 MAX 8, registered as CN-RHR, which had previously expanded RAM’s fleet to 69 planes. With this 70th aircraft, Royal Air Maroc continues its steady, phased increase in capacity, laying the groundwork for a more substantial fleet expansion in the coming years.

A Strategic Expansion Program Through 2037

The Moroccan carrier has launched an ambitious development program aimed at acquiring new aircraft to support the growth of its route network. The long-term plan involves the acquisition of 200 aircraft by 2037. The first deliveries under this major order are expected to begin in 2028.

Supporting Network Growth and Connectivity

Until then, Royal Air Maroc is focusing on the gradual integration of new aircraft and the use of leasing arrangements to enhance its operational capabilities. The primary goal is to support the development of its network out of Morocco and to strengthen connections between Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

The arrival of the CN-RHS marks another key step in this expansion trajectory, as the airline’s fleet now reaches the symbolic milestone of 70 aircraft.
