Strategic Partnership between Gitas and Gifas to Boost Franco-Tunisian Aerospace Industry
At the occasion of the 2025 Paris Air Show, the Tunisian Aerospace and Space Industries Group (Gitas) and the French Aerospace Industries Association (Gifas) have formalized a new step in their cooperation by signing a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This partnership aims to accelerate the development of the Franco-Tunisian aerospace supply chain through several key axes:
- Deployment of the Aero Excellence program, dedicated to industrial performance and skills enhancement;
- Implementation of the Air Cyber program to strengthen cybersecurity within aerospace value chains;
- Development of professional and university training to better respond to growing needs for skilled labor and competencies.
This joint initiative marks a clear willingness to reinforce the competitiveness, resilience, and regional integration of the aerospace industry. It takes place in a context of strong industrial dynamics: France is currently the largest aerospace investor in Tunisia, and French companies present in Tunisia are pursuing their growth to support the increasing production rates of major customers.
This strategic rapprochement between Gifas and Gitas highlights the importance of Euro-Mediterranean industrial cooperation in addressing the challenges of sovereignty, innovation, and sustainability in the aerospace sector.
