The financial cooperation programs between Tunisia and the French Development Agency (AFD) for 2025 were at the heart of a meeting led by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, and the Regional Director for North Africa of the Agency, Cécile Couprie, as indicated in a statement published on Friday by the Ministry of Economy.

This meeting, which took place on Thursday afternoon, allowed for discussions on the finalization of the technical aspects of several cooperation programs that will soon be launched, with the aim of finalizing the agreements during the next session of the High Council of Tunisian-French Cooperation scheduled for 2025. The two parties also addressed the progress of certain projects in which the agency plays a key role, particularly in the sectors of sanitation, water, and transportation.

Abdelhafidh highlighted his department's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the AFD, emphasizing projects aligned with national priorities. For her part, Couprie praised recent efforts to accelerate project implementation and reaffirmed the Agency's commitment to supporting Tunisia in achieving its reforms.
