Mediterranean Region to Host Forum on Artificial Intelligence
The Mediterranean, a hub of talent and innovation, is facing significant challenges in strategic sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and public services. To address these challenges, the Mediterranean Forum on Artificial Intelligence (FMIA) is set to bring together key players from the digital ecosystem of both shores on November 20-21 in Tunis. The goal is to reflect on the solutions that AI can provide to Mediterranean problems.
A Two-Day Event
For two days, at the Cité de la Culture, companies, startups, researchers, incubators, and financial institutions will participate in a dense program combining keynotes, panels, workshops, and startup pitches. The discussions will cover the scientific, economic, and societal challenges of AI, while highlighting topics such as:
- Access to healthcare through artificial intelligence
- Digital transformation of administrations
- Food security
- Ecological transition
Focus on Inclusivity and Ethics
The forum will also emphasize inclusivity and ethics, with balanced and geographically diverse panels, as well as a hybrid format allowing a wider audience to participate. Several renowned personalities in the field of AI and digital technology from both the North and South Mediterranean will share their perspectives, providing expertise and advice to promote the development of a solid and sustainable regional ecosystem.
