Provisional Results of State Budget Execution: Tax Revenues Up 9.6% in November 2024
According to the provisional results of the state budget execution published by the Ministry of Finance, tax revenues reached 37,708.4 million dinars at the end of November 2024, compared to 34,392.3 million dinars recorded during the same period in 2023. This represents a 9.6% year-over-year increase, highlighting a significant improvement in tax collection.
Direct Taxes: 11.2% Increase
Direct taxes, totaling 15,821.7 million dinars, saw an 11.2% increase. Income taxes make up the largest part of this category, with 11,335.8 million dinars (+9%), followed by corporate taxes, which showed a significant 17.2% increase, reaching 4,485.9 million dinars. These developments reflect a favorable economic dynamic and a greater contribution from businesses and individuals to the state's revenues.
Indirect Taxes: 8.5% Increase
Indirect taxes stood at 21,886.7 million dinars, up 8.5% compared to 2023. Customs duties increased by 11.4%, reaching 1,866.4 million dinars, while VAT progressed by 7%, totaling 226.2 million dinars. Consumption taxes and other indirect taxes also contributed to this growth, with 3,662.1 million dinars (+6.1%) and 6,132 million dinars (+11.9%), respectively. These results reflect the positive impact of fiscal measures and efforts to regulate trade.
