Foiled Smuggling Attempt at Ras Jedir Border Post
At the Ras Jedir border post, Tunisian customs foiled an attempt to smuggle nearly 3 kg of pure gold (2,956 g) hidden in a car, in addition to arresting 2 individuals. This took place during a routine inspection reinforced by advanced detection equipment. The estimated value of the seized gold is approximately one million Tunisian dinars. Fortunately, the operation was carried out efficiently, thanks to the coordination between field teams and technical services. A report was established, and the suspects were handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation.
