Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Center Tunis Unveils New Perspectives and Ambitions

The Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Center Tunis has presented its new perspectives and ambitions as part of its repositioning under the international Radisson Blu brand. For Mr. Julian Martin, General Manager, this change of banner comes with an ambitious vision: "This rebranding is not just about changing a sign. It's a real intention to make this hotel a reference point for tourism in the capital and, why not, a national reference point."

A Personal Story and an Emblematic Hotel

Arriving in Tunisia in 2006 for a temporary mission, Mr. Martin eventually spent a decade in the country, seduced by "the sense of hospitality and kindness of the Tunisian people." He confides: "When I first saw this building, I hoped that one day I would have the honor of leading it. Twenty years later, I am at the head of this emblematic hotel, a true icon of Tunisian hospitality."

A Strategic Plan in Four Axes

The General Manager has unveiled an ambitious transformation plan based on four pillars:

  • Modernization of infrastructure: renovation of rooms and common areas to meet international standards and offer a more modern and refreshed experience.
  • Reinvention of the food and beverage offer: redefinition of points of sale, new culinary concepts, and adaptation to the tastes of a cosmopolitan clientele, while remaining open to Tunisians.
  • Valuation of teams: with 360 collaborators, the hotel constitutes "a large family." Training, motivation, and internal promotion are at the heart of the strategy, in line with the group's slogan "Yes I Can!" "The basis of a hotel is the teams. Without them, nothing is possible," recalls Mr. Martin.
  • Integration into the life of the capital: organization of cultural, sporting, and lifestyle events to make the hotel not a closed place, but an open space for the community.

"In April last year, we welcomed over 650 commercial representatives from the group from around the world. This allowed us to present our hotel, but also Tunisia as a destination. Many fell in love with the country."

A Sustainable Vision: Think People, Think Planet, Think Community

The CSR commitment of Radisson Blu Tunis is based on three dimensions:

  • Think People: placing humans at the heart of the project by focusing on the development and competence of teams.
  • Think Planet: reducing environmental impact through concrete initiatives in energy savings and plastic reduction.
  • Think Community: creating bridges with civil society by supporting local associations and organizing charitable actions. "What interests me is not only the hotel's communication, but also that of local associations that do remarkable work for the community," emphasizes Mr. Martin. "I want this hotel to be part of the life of the capital. We have the best facilities to host cultural, sporting, and artistic events, open not only to travelers but also to Tunisians."

Radisson in Tunisia: A Consolidated Presence

With five establishments in operation - Radisson Blu Djerba, Radisson Blu Hammamet, Radisson Blu Convention Center Tunis, Radisson Hotel Sfax, and Radisson Hotel Tunis City Center - the group confirms its desire to anchor its presence in Tunisia and respond to various customer segments, from business tourism to leisure tourism. "Our ambition is clear: for the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Center Tunis to become a central player in the economic, cultural, and social life of the capital, and a symbol of excellence in service to its customers and community," concludes Mr. Julian Martin.
