US Agricultural Exports to Tunisia Show Increasing Trend in 2024

According to data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), American agricultural exports to Tunisia in 2024 are showing a growing trend, particularly for soybeans and animal feed. Soybeans dominate the ranking with a total value of $127.24 million, representing 272,494 metric tons. This performance reflects a 128% increase compared to the decade average, highlighting the growing importance of this product for the Tunisian agricultural industry.

Maize, although less dominant with a value of $10.96 million, remains a key product, despite a 50% decrease compared to the average of the last ten years.

Animal feed and agricultural by-products, such as other foods, flours, and forages, as well as distiller's dried grains, have also experienced significant growth. Other foods, flours, and forages reached a value of $6.24 million, recording an impressive 540% increase over ten years. Distiller's dried grains, on the other hand, generated $5.79 million, showing stability compared to the decade average. These figures indicate increased demand for products intended for livestock and animal feed in Tunisia, reflecting perhaps an expansion of the local agricultural sector.

Products such as planting seeds, nuts, and food preparations show varied trends. Planting seeds saw their value increase by 208% to reach $2.14 million, while nuts recorded a 72% decrease, with a value of $1.77 million. Food preparations, although representing a modest volume of 74 tons, experienced remarkable growth of 536%, reaching $797,375. These data highlight the diversification of American agricultural exports to Tunisia, while also underscoring the fluctuations linked to local demand and international market conditions.
