Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy Awards Four New Mineral Research Permits

The Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy has announced the attribution of four new permits for mineral research, according to decrees published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic (JORT) No. 026 of Thursday, March 6, 2025:

Sabkhet Boujmal 1 Permit

The first permit, titled "Sabkhet Boujmal 1", focuses on the research of 4th group minerals (salt). Located in the governorate of Médenine, it has been awarded to Mejai Salt Extraction. The company has committed to carrying out a minimum research program estimated at 97,500 TND during the permit's validity period.

Al Adhibate Sud Permit

The second permit, named "Al Adhibate Sud", concerns 4th group minerals (salt) in the governorate of Médenine. It has been attributed to Shandong Haiwang Chemical Co Tunisie Sarl, covering a total area of 3,200 hectares divided into eight elementary perimeters.

Saumures El-Jérid Permit

The third permit, titled "Saumures El-Jérid", covers 4th group minerals (salt) in the governorates of Tozeur and Kébili. It has been awarded to the Gafsa Phosphate Company (CPG), which must carry out a research program worth 2 MTND on an area of 70,800 hectares divided into 177 elementary perimeters.

Gasaât Permit

The fourth permit, named "Gasaât", concerns the research of 5th group minerals (phosphate). Located in the governorates of Kasserine, Kef, and Siliana, it has been attributed to Himilco Resources Pty Ltd Tunisian Branch. The minimum research program amounts to 35.07 MTND for an area of 11,200 hectares divided into 28 elementary perimeters.
