Qatar Launches "Qatar Through Your Lens" Contest
Visit Qatar, the official tourism office of Qatar, has launched "Qatar Through Your Lens", a unique contest for local content creators and residents to showcase the country's culture, heritage, and lifestyle. The contest will run from October 1st to December 15th, 2025, with the winners announced in the first week of January 2026.
Contest Details
Participants can submit photos or short videos (30 to 60 seconds) that highlight the unique character of Qatar, without using artificial intelligence. Submissions must be posted on Instagram using the hashtags #QatarThroughYourLens and #ViewQatar, and tagging the official Visit Qatar account. Several themes are proposed, including:
- Qatar by Night
- Beaches and coasts
- Arts, culture, and heritage
- Sports events
- Gastronomy
Prizes
The winners will be rewarded in two categories, video and photo, with a total of 375,000 QAR in cash prizes. In the video category, the first prize is 100,000 QAR, while the photo category offers a first prize of 60,000 QAR. Additional prizes include:
- Creative equipment (GoPro, iPhone, smartwatch)
- Sponsored stays
- Exclusive invitations to Visit Qatar events
Judging Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated by a jury composed of representatives from Visit Qatar and experts in photography and creation, based on criteria such as:
- Creativity
- Visual quality
- Narrative strength
- Relevance to the theme
