BIAT Publishes Solid Financial Performance and Enhanced Resilience for the First Nine Months of 2024

The Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie (BIAT) has released its quarterly activity indicators as of September 30, 2024, highlighting the following results:

  • Net Banking Income (NBI) of 1,089.6 million dinars
  • Operating expenses of 468.9 million dinars
  • Deposit balances of 19,724.5 million dinars
  • Net credit balances of 12,431.8 million dinars
  • An operating efficiency ratio of 43.0%

BIAT announces solid financial performance and increased resilience over the first nine months of 2024, thanks to the ambitious development of its strategic projects, prudent risk management, and a healthy and visionary governance system.

By leveraging technological innovation, customer proximity, and network modernization as drivers of its development, BIAT has continued to roll out its new agency concept across the country, offering a modernized and intuitive customer experience. In 2024, around thirty agencies have been deployed in several cities, including Tunis, Sousse, and Sfax.

Significant progress has been made in BIAT's digital transformation in 2024. Following the successful launch of its digital offer, MyBIATretail, for individuals and professionals, which now has over 370,000 active users, BIAT is taking its digitalization to the next level with the launch of its digital offer for businesses and corporate clients, MyBIATCorporate. Designed to provide a tailored digital experience, MyBIATCorporate is the result of close collaboration between BIAT and its corporate clients. It was developed using a participatory approach to ensure a solution perfectly adapted to the specific needs and expectations of each user, with utmost security. This new solution will be continuously enriched with new features to adapt to the specific needs of clients and respond to their evolving expectations.

Furthermore, BIAT has reinforced its commitment to preserving national heritage projects, such as the restoration of the Belvédère municipal pool and the renovation of the Ibn Khaldoun Cultural Center. The bank has also pledged to improve educational conditions in priority areas by rehabilitating and equipping around ten schools through its BIAT Foundation programs.
