State-Owned Real Estate Regularization Program Aims to Guarantee Property Rights for Three Specific Categories

Majdi Ben Slimen, mission officer to the Minister of State Domains and Real Estate Affairs, announced that the program to regularize state-owned real estate aims to guarantee property rights and targets three specific categories.

These categories include:

  • The regularization of old residential groupings built on state-owned private land
  • Legal operators of agricultural real estate belonging to the state
  • Properties owned by foreigners

This social and non-profit program is based on an exhaustive inventory of the concerned land situations, with the goal of offering concrete and adapted solutions to beneficiaries. It also plans to simplify procedures and harmonize the work of committees responsible for these regularizations.

For example, for old residential groupings built on state-owned private land, properties will be transferred to beneficiaries under specific conditions, at symbolic prices ranging from 5 to 20 TND per square meter, depending on the development index of the concerned delegation.

This initiative is part of the 21 measures adopted during the restricted ministerial council held on January 20, 2025, at the Government Palace in Kasbah, dedicated to enhancing the value of the state's real estate heritage.
