The Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Salem Ben Mohammed Al-Malik, has announced a series of projects to be implemented in partnership with the Tunisian Ministries of Cultural Affairs, Education, and Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This announcement follows his meeting with the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, during which the President reaffirmed ICESCO's role in combating ignorance and terrorism.
The ambitious program includes several projects:
- A partnership between ICESCO and the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts, Beit Al Hikma, to organize training cycles, intellectual and literary conferences, and to publish and translate certain works.
- A working session on the inscription of material and intangible cultural heritage sites of humanity, as well as training in the cultural sector, in collaboration with the Minister of Cultural Affairs.
- ICESCO projects in the higher education sector in Tunisia and the Islamic world, although the nature and content of these projects were not specified.
- The relevant proposals formulated by various Tunisian partners will be translated into concrete projects.
- ICESCO's willingness to strengthen its partnership with Tunisia in various fields, including education, science, and culture.
These projects demonstrate ICESCO's commitment to promoting education, science, and culture in Tunisia and the Islamic world, and its determination to combat ignorance and terrorism.
