Orange Entrepreneur Social Award (POESAM) Ceremony Held in Tunisia

The 14th edition of the Orange Entrepreneur Social Award (POESAM) ceremony was organized by Orange Tunisia on September 5, 2024. During the event, six finalist entrepreneurs presented their projects, with three ultimately winning the Orange Entrepreneur Award.

Eskander Alaya took first place with his project BLEUPSOL, a startup founded in January 2023 that specializes in the manufacture of intelligent and autonomous solar generators.

Sabri Cheriha and Yassine Khelifi secured second and third place, respectively, with their projects WeFix and Bioheat. WeFix offers an online repair service for reconditioned household appliances, as well as a collection service for non-functional appliances. Bioheat, on the other hand, provides eco-friendly products made from recycled waste from Tunisian oil mills, without any added chemicals.

During the ceremony, Thierry Millet, General Director of Orange Tunisia, highlighted the growing impact of social projects presented in this edition. This year, the focus was on initiatives related to energy transition and green technologies, demonstrating the organization's strong commitment to sustainable innovation.

Millet emphasized the importance of digital inclusion and environmental responsibility, while celebrating partnerships with local startups that bring unique and non-duplicable solutions.

This competition continues to embody a vision of social and economic transformation, consolidating the role of this initiative as a driver of change and innovation in the Africa and Middle East region.

The jury consisted of several experts in entrepreneurship, including Mayssa Mrabet, Director of the Community at Afrilabs; Vincent Santoro, CEO of Safran in Tunisia; Patricia Rinke, Investment Manager at AfricInvest Group; Ali Mnif, CEO of Digital Africa; and Salma Baghdadi, Founder of Ujenzi Advisory.

Marwa Moula, Co-Founder and CEO of ILEYCOM, and Khouloud Abid, CEO of Auzy Mental Health, were also present. As female entrepreneurs, they were selected to represent Tunisia for the International Women's Award.
