Industrial Upgrading Program Continues to Accelerate
The industrial upgrading program is gaining momentum. On July 13, the program's advisory committee met at the Ministry of Industry and approved new projects worth nearly 185 million dinars in investments, confirming the continuation of public support for the modernization of Tunisian businesses.
New Projects Approved
During the meeting, chaired by the Minister of Equipment and Housing, in charge of managing the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Salah Zouari, committee members validated three new files concerning companies operating in the agri-food, electrical, mechanical, textile, and clothing industries. These projects total nearly 97 million dinars in investments, with a subsidy amount exceeding 8.9 million dinars, intended to support the modernization and development efforts of the beneficiary companies.
Previous Decisions Endorsed
The committee also endorsed the decisions made by the program's restricted committee during its meeting on July 8. The restricted committee had given the green light to 26 upgrading files, representing 83.4 million dinars in investments and nearly 12 million dinars in public aid.
Additional Approvals
In addition to these decisions, the approval of 55 priority technological investment projects was announced, with a total value of over 4.5 million dinars, benefiting from 1.76 million dinars in subsidies. In total, the various validations announced concern 84 files, mobilizing nearly 185 million dinars in investments and over 22.6 million dinars in aid, as part of the strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of the Tunisian industrial fabric.
