Morocco Sees Unprecedented Tourism Boom in 2024

According to the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, 15.9 million tourists visited Morocco from January to November 2024, a 2.6 million increase compared to the same period in 2023.

This surge can be attributed to a 23% rise in foreign tourists and a significant 17% growth in members of the Moroccan diaspora.

The Ministry describes this development as an unprecedented advance in the history of national tourism, reflecting the concrete impact of the strategic roadmap implemented. This milestone marks a crucial step towards Morocco's ambition to rank among the top 15 global tourist destinations.

This roadmap, covering the period 2023-2026, aims to build a world-class tourism industry, with the goal of attracting 26 million tourists by 2030. To support this ambition, the government has dedicated nearly $598 million to this plan.
