Tunisia-Algeria International Train Service Launches on August 11, 2024

The Tunisian National Railway Company (SNCFT) has announced the launch of its first commercial trip between Tunis and Annaba, Algeria, on Sunday, August 11, 2024. According to the company's statement, the departure will take place at 8:00 am from Tunis Train Station. Two additional trips are scheduled for August 14 and 16.

The train, dedicated exclusively to international transportation between Tunisia and Algeria, will follow a regular schedule with departures from Tunis on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:25 am, and returns from Annaba on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 9:00 am.

The journey will include stops in Béja, Jendouba, Ghardimaou, and Souk Ahras.

Tickets are priced at 38 dinars for second-class one-way travel and 44 dinars for first-class one-way travel. The round-trip fare is 71 dinars for second-class and 81 dinars for first-class, with mandatory reservation for the return trip.

Children under 4 years old travel for free, and discounted rates are available for children between 4 and 12 years old.
