UBCI's Majority Stake Acquisition in CFE-DAAM TAMWEEL Falls Through
The Union Bancaire pour le Commerce et l'Industrie (UBCI) project to acquire a majority stake in the Centre Financier aux Entrepreneurs (CFE)-"DAAM TAMWEEL" has not been completed. In a communication addressed to the Conseil du Marché Financier, UBCI specified that the operation, announced in July 2025, did not receive the approval of the Autorité de Contrôle de la Microfinance. The operation concerned the Centre Financier aux Entrepreneurs (CFE)-DAAM TAMWEEL, which specializes in financing small businesses and entrepreneurs, a sector subject to specific regulations.
