Tunisia and Libya Strengthen Partnership in Tourism and Handicrafts Sectors
The promotion of the Tunisian-Libyan partnership in the tourism and handicrafts sectors, as well as the implementation of the memorandum of understanding in the field of handicrafts, were at the center of a meeting held on Tuesday between Tunisian Minister of Tourism, Sofiene Tekaya, and his Libyan counterpart, Nasreddine Milad El-Fazzani.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Ministry, this meeting is part of the Libyan Minister of Tourism's working visit to Tunisia, on the occasion of his participation in the 8th edition on the financing, investment, and trade in Africa (FITA 2025).
Both parties agreed to further strengthen exchanges in the areas of vocational training and to multiply participation, in addition to promoting handicraft products and encouraging investment and partnership between sector actors.
Thus, they expressed their satisfaction with the distinguished level of cooperation between Tunisia and Libya in the fields of tourism and traditional industries, reaffirming their common will to strengthen these relations and elevate them to the level of a durable strategic partnership based on the development of skills, exchange of expertise, and encouragement of investments in this sector.
