Ministry of Equipment and Housing Introduces Certification Obligation for Construction and Public Works Markets

The Ministry of Equipment and Housing has decided to include the obligation to be certified to access the construction and public works markets it launches. A calendar has been set according to the intervenant.

Requirements for Construction Companies:

  • Obtain ISO 45001/2018 certification to access the top category, with a deadline of October 2025.
  • Obtain ISO 9001/2015 or ISO 45001/2018 certification to access categories 4 and 5, with a deadline of October 2025.
  • Obtain ISO 45001/2018 or ISO 9001/2015 certification to obtain a single authorization, with a deadline of June 2026.
  • Obtain ISO 45001/2018 or ISO 9001/2015 certification to access categories 1 and 2 or a single authorization, with a deadline of June 2027.

Requirements for Study Offices:

  • Obtain ISO 9001/2015 certification by December 2025.

Requirements for Control Offices:

  • Obtain ISO 17020/2012 certification by June 2026.

Requirements for Laboratories:

  • Obtain ISO 17025/2017 certification by December 2026.

Newly Created Companies:

  • Have 3 years to comply with these new decisions.
