Digital Platform for Monitoring and Managing Public Projects Launched in Gafsa Governorate
A digital platform dedicated to tracking and managing public projects in the Gafsa governorate was unveiled on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, during a workshop held in the region.
This tool aims to provide access to analytical data and dashboards for regional administrations, civil society, and researchers.
The workshop brought together representatives from the Ministries of Equipment, Transport, Health, and Education, as well as development experts and local associations. This meeting is part of a series of encounters organized in several governorates to promote transparency and optimize public policy management.
The platform, accessible via a dedicated website, contains information on over 700 public projects in regions such as Jendouba, including details on allocated budgets. It also offers in-depth analyses, including on municipal resources dedicated to waste management at the national level, and specialized studies in various sectors.
During the workshop, participants discussed regional priorities for Gafsa, including the documentation of pending public projects, and emphasized the importance of increased collaboration to improve data access and enhance project efficiency. They also expressed their desire to further develop the platform's functionalities, particularly through interactive tools that allow for converting data into customizable graphs and tables.
