Public Funding for Water Supply Projects in Bizerte Exceeds $500 Million

The Secretary of State for Water Resources, Hamadi Habib, announced that public funding for completed and ongoing water supply projects in the governorate of Bizerte has exceeded 500 million dinars. This statement was made during a working visit to the region on Thursday.

During the Regional Water Council meeting at the governorate's headquarters, attended by Governor Salem Ben Yaâcoub, he emphasized that these investments prioritize strengthening the potable water supply system, particularly in rural areas, serving over 25,000 inhabitants.

Furthermore, the state has mobilized 11 million cubic meters to reinforce the irrigation system, sourced from the Sidi Salem, El Barrak, Joumine, and Ghazala dams. Efforts are also being made to address the malfunctions hindering water supply.

On the sidelines of this visit, the Secretary of State and the Governor of Bizerte were briefed on the progress of the cereal harvest and the final preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the harvest.
