National Observatory of Agriculture Publishes Data on Tunisia's Dam Situation
The National Observatory of Agriculture (Onagri) released data today, December 27, on the situation of dams in Tunisia. This essential information is crucial for managing water resources in the context of climate change.
Daily Inflows: 5.4 million m³, highlighting that dams continue to receive water inflows, which allows for strengthening hydrological reserves.
Current Stock: 526.9 million m³, representing the volume of water currently available in dams.
Fill Rate: 22.5%, indicating that dams are filled to just over one-fifth of their total capacity, a relatively low rate that calls for prudent management of resources.
These data show that, although dams are still receiving water inflows, the fill rate remains insufficient, which can pose risks in the event of prolonged drought.
