Microsoft to Invest $80 Billion in AI-Powered Data Centers by 2025
Microsoft plans to invest $80 billion by fiscal year 2025 to develop specialized data centers dedicated to training artificial intelligence (AI) models and deploying AI- and cloud-based applications.
These specialized data centers, essential for meeting the growing demand for computing power linked to AI, will enable the connection of thousands of chips in clusters, thereby strengthening Microsoft's technological infrastructure.
Over half of this investment will be allocated to the United States, according to Brad Smith, Microsoft's Vice President and President, highlighting the key role of American companies in the global AI race.
