Perplexity Launches Its Own Deep Research Tool, Available for Free to Everyone
Perplexity has launched its own Deep Research tool, which is now available for free to the general public. This AI-powered agent analyzes hundreds of sources in just a few minutes to generate comprehensive reports, covering domains such as finance, marketing, tech, and public policy.
The tool rivals ChatGPT's Deep Research model, ranking just behind it on the Humanity's Last Exam benchmark. Unlike OpenAI, which reserves this functionality for its Pro plan, Perplexity is offering it for free, albeit with limitations in its free version. The feature is already accessible via the web interface, with deployments planned for iOS, Android, and Mac.
